Protect your annuals from the frost
May 4, 2011
Cover annuals using sheets, towels, bedspreads, blankets or any cloth you can grab.Do not use tarps or plastic!
Make sure to place some rocks at the corners of the sheets to hold them in place. Take the covers off in the morning.
Put your potted plants in the garage or bring them into the house. Put them out in the sun in the morning.
Most perennials can take a light frost, even to 28 degrees. Peonies, roses, bleeding hearts, hostas, spring flowering bulbs will all take a frost without harm.
